George Charles was born in the
Cape of
Good Hope in South Africa after his father had gone there and married.
Albert Edward was born in St Pancras, in
the house where his father was to live until his death in 1956. Anthony
Albert, my father, was born in
Charing Cross
Hospital, Hammersmith, London.
I was
born in Hackney in East London. My father moved to
Crawley in
West Sussex
in 1958 and both of us still reside there today.
